"Rīgas satiksme" to add buses on route No. 22 and to change public transport routes, schedules and stops
To ensure a more convenient transportation of Dreiliņi residents to the nearby district of Pļavnieki and that of children from Dreiliņi to Pļavņieki Elementary School, bus route No. 6 will be changed as of September 1. On this route, buses will run from the city centre by the route to A. Saharova Street, then in A.Saharova Street, M. Keldiša Street, Ulbrokas Street to A.Deglava Street and further by the route. On the way back to the city centre the buses will run by the same route. In order not to have two bus stops with the same names on this route, the bus stop of routes No. 20 and 31 in M. Keldiša street will be renamed Dzeņu Street.
On September 1 bus stop Nordeka will be closed in direction of the Dzirciema Street terminal due to insufficient infrastructure.
After finishing repair works near the National Theatre the schedules of tram routes No. 5 and 7 on workdays and holidays will be also changed. The transportation opportunities for passengers will be improved, and the temporarily tranferred tram stops will be put back. The schedules of tram routes No. 3 and 9 will be also changed accordingly (the number of trams will remain unchanged).
